We held our annual Key Stage 1 Sports Day last week, on a not very summery day! We got a little damp but did all the events and everyone had a great. Thank you to Mr Hunter and the Key Stage One teachers for organising.
Members of Year 5 and 6 recently took part in the Guild Spoken Word classes. After many lunchtime practices with Mrs Halsall they recited a poem in front of a large audience at the Villa Marina. On Wednesday, the school council were lucky enough to go and meet Her Majesty Queen Camilla when she came to confer city status on Douglas. Everyone was very excited, especially hen she came over to talk to our group. Mrs Halsall and Miss Rubery enjoyed meeting her too.
Last week, we had a team of boys and girls compete in the inter-school cross country championships at Noble's Park. As always, they were fantastic ambassadors for HBN and showed great sportsmanship. Here they are receiving their certificates.
