This week we have been learning all about ‘Space’. We have had an action packed week with lots of fun and laughs. We have made mod-roc rockets, chalk planets and aliens, planet fact cards, wrote our own space story and then filmed it using I-movie, and made our own planet order poems. We asked Mrs Ramsey to judge her favourite, and Ethan won the bar of chocolate! Well done!
In PE we have been playing lots of badminton, doing gymnastics, yoga and we had a whole school ‘Zumba’ session with Mrs Loughran.
We have been busy down in forest school doing observational drawings of the nature and setting around us, nail weaving messages on logs and made base camps.
Back in the classroom we made ‘memory t shirts’ to look back on in years to come. We have celebrated Captain Tom’s birthday and made him birthday cards. We also wished Bob Corkish, our local hero, best of luck and sent him ‘good luck’ cards. As it was the ‘Big Night In’ this week we recorded ourselves doing the ‘Amarillo’ dance which was lots of fun! We painted some colourful pictures to brighten up the ICU ward at Nobles Hospital after receiving a video message from the wonderful nurses.
We have set some tricky Maths challenges this week which the children have showed ‘Grit’ tom complete, including ‘Code Breakers' and ‘Maths Mystery’ challenges.
The staff have been delighted with how well the children have showed great team work and optimism in all aspects of learning.
Thank you to our wonderful team this week – Miss Dudley, Miss Slater, Mrs Carey, Miss Ward, Mrs Loughran and Mrs Clarke.
