This week we have been completing challenges relating to Mr Men and Little Miss characters! We have been creating our own characters and writing stories to go with them. A lot of these ideas came from researching and finding out about the author of the series, Rodger Hargreaves. We used 2D shapes to make each of the characters, as well as solving problems to help them. I’ve been really impressed with all of the inventions they have come up with to help poor old Mr Bump stay safe - I think I’d quite like the giant marshmallow to protect me! Also, check out our paper mache Mr Men and Little Miss’, there was a lot of concentrating! Out at Forest School we read the stories and then foraged to make the characters and their houses.
We were very lucky this week to have a delivery from Mr Whippy - it was perfectly timed as we had just finished our PE lesson out on the astro so got to enjoy them in the lovely sunshine! And then, on Thursday, we celebrated Robert’s birthday by watching Mr Men and Little Miss Birthday Special and eating the delicious cupcakes he brought in!
We all felt particularly inspired by the lovely Zara’s t-shirt which is acting as all our inspiration right now, so just incase you need reminding - you got this!
The children have all been super, as have the grown ups too! A big thankyou to Miss Ellson (Miss Trouble), Miss Jones (Miss TooClose), Mrs Sayle (Mrs Sunshine) and Mrs Dugdale (Mrs Bump) who have all really enjoyed seeing the children again and working so hard!
